At the time it was completed in 1915, Mattamuskeet Lodge was the largest pumping station in the world. It became a hunting lodge in the 1930s. In 2006, the US Congress deeded Mattamuskeet Lodge to North Carolina.
Hello and welcome to my site. I hope you enjoy these images as much as I enjoyed photographing the subjects in them. While many of my images are of waterfowl, you will also find other coastal subjects such as lighthouses, wild ponies, boats, sunrises and sunsets, and a variety of other subjects as I add to this site. I am a native of coastal North Carolina.
