A Canada Goose swims in shallow waters on Harkers Island, NC. The Canada goose is a large wild goose species with a black head and neck, white patches on the face, and a brown body. They are very successful at living in human-altered areas, which provide food and few natural predators, and are well known as a common park species. Canada geese are also among the most commonly hunted waterfowl in North America.
Hello and welcome to my site. I hope you enjoy these images as much as I enjoyed photographing the subjects in them. While many of my images are of waterfowl, you will also find other coastal subjects such as lighthouses, wild ponies, boats, sunrises and sunsets, and a variety of other subjects as I add to this site. I am a native of coastal North Carolina. Living on the Crystal Coast of our State affords many opportunities to photograph interesting and beautiful wildlife, as well as a variety of other unique subjects and features of this area.
