Beaufort, N.C. was established in 1709. It is a quaint coastal town located on Beaufort Inlet, a channel leading to the Atlantic Ocean. Beaufort is the third oldest town in the state and seat of Carteret County. Taylors Creek provides a waterway between Carrot Island and Beaufort and provides safe anchorage for sailboats.

While many of my images are of waterfowl, you will also find other coastal subjects such as lighthouses, wild ponies, boats, sunrises and sunsets, and a variety of other subjects as I add to this site. I am a native of coastal North Carolina.
